The oldest school of hotel management in the world - École hôtelière de Lausanne (School of Hotel Management in Lausanne) - was founded in 1893 and since then has not lost its first positions in national and world rankings. Today, 2,000 students study at the Lausanne campus, and the total number of graduates has exceeded 30 thousand people - they are building a successful career in the best world companies and organizations, becoming top-managers and businessmen of the highest class in demand.
The opening of the school was caused by a surge of interest in tourism in Switzerland and Europe at the beginning of the XIX century and the growing need for qualified personnel in this field. One of the members of the prestigious association Swiss Hotel Association, Jacques Tschumi, founded the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, where for the first time they began to educate professionals in these areas, without intermediate qualifications and unnecessary subjects. Today the school carefully preserves historical traditions and simultaneously builds education on innovative techniques and cutting-edge equipment, sensitively catching all world tendencies and becoming the legislator of new trends. The main areas of the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne are:
Restaurant industry;
Hotel business;
Hospitality industry;
Luxe service;
