What makes GSD distinctive?

One of GSD's greatest strengths is its location in Geneva, home to the United Nations Office at Geneva, the World Trade Organization, the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross and hundreds of international organizations, NGOs and diplomatic missions. Students benefit from regular interaction with diplomats, ambassadors, international civil servants and leading experts through guest lectures, conferences, simulations and networking events.

Teaching takes place in small classes, allowing close interaction with professors and an individualized learning experience. The curriculum combines academic theory with practical diplomacy, negotiation exercises, policy analysis and case studies based on current international affairs.

Language of instruction

All programmes are taught entirely in English. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a good command of English, typically equivalent to B2 or higher.
